the state of new york denies any of this happened. although the author swears by it. if i were them i would not want to admit it either. the boys were tortured at a state run facility and then they manipulated the legal system!

Error in the movie production, Budweiser was not using longneck bottles at that time; they were the short stubby bottles. Longnecks didn't come back until the late 1980s or early 1990s.

McHales bar as well as a lot of other great old bars in that area have been torn down in the last few years. More room for Starbucks I guess.

No wouldnt be Coonan and Featherstone although McHale's tavern was one of their haunts. McHales is not there any more but a lot of NYC movie scenes were filmed there. The scene is a take off on the Westies but the year this was from Coonan was running things from New Jersey (hazlet) and featherstone was also in NJ down in Keansburg
