Spitting was first shown on ITV in the UK and I agree with Andrew that ITV owns the copyright. I remember seeing this in the 1980's I had forgotten how amusing it was. Lampooned my favourite actor gash darn it but still funny.

No ITV own it.
Network only aked if they could release it.
This was aired on an american channel so they can't release and besides they used certain music and clips so that why some things wont get released.
That's one of the reasons why it got kept from DVD for so long.Getting the DVD's is better than nothing.

Network owns the copyright to spitting image, but there were some specails that aired in usa ... being that the show and series is owned by network anything that would have been made is copyrighted by them and could be put out along with the main series they are releasing at the moment. I just don't get why they don't release it.
