This is some video i took after 5 - 10 mins of trying before even getting the camera out. The car had been on the drive for just ONE night, both drums had stuck but the left one came free a lot easier than the right one.

Near the end of the video, you can see the tyre being dragged slightly on the drive, just before breaking free.

I did mention this problem at the 1st service and I was told this is "normal"...My clutch wont last very long if this keeps happening.

  • Wow! Judging by the front fogs on your car. This is a Phase 2 Aygo. I drive a 2007 Aygo, and I ve not had any problems like this. My brother drives a ageing Ford Ka, and this has happened to his car with his brakes seizing. You might want to try Aygo Forums on Toyota owners club dot com

  • @ScotmanUK2000 - Well spotted with the fog lights - it is indeed the MKII model...59 reg.

The dealership have had the drums off and taken a look...so hopefully it will be sorted now but we will have to wait and see.

  • Wow you dont need that in your life each time you go out? I bet the clutch was stinking aswell?

  • @gs1702...yeah the clutch was burning, you can hear the engine bogging down as I bring the clutch up to try and free the brakes. Going to be keeping a close eye on the problem from now on.

  • Wow, where can you get that? It's like a miniature yaris, which was already like a miniature version of a minivan.

You might want to show this footage to your dealer! Its a new car, and never seen this before. My brothers Ford was built back in 96 and he left the car for 2 weeks before this happened.
