@munny0051 the gatka that YOU know and learned, is NOT "puratan" SHASTAR VIDYA as was taught from Sri SatGuru HarGobind Sahib Jee, it's probably more "pardarshanee" ; there is only a handful of individuals in the WORLD who know PURATAN SHASTAR VIDYA , but you probably already know this seeing that you practice tae kwon do, and kung fu ;-)

@munny0051 well too bad, in UK some of us have forsaken gatka and started learning shastar vidiya, gatka is mass corruption of Guru jis pentras and maryada!

@munny0051 gatka is SHOWING OFF! when the sikhs lost shastar vidiya under british raaj, they started using gatka, a copy of khutka, used by sikhs in the British armies. Khutka is performed at muslim weddings. Also people like bajigar and vanjaras used to perform it. It is shameful that this fencing gatka sport show off art replaced our dear shastar vidiya!

@munny0051 gatka is a practise introduced when the british banned shastar vidiya, gatka is insulting towards shastar vidiya. Please stop gatka and practise shastar vidiya like Guru jis Singhs did.
