  • Very cool. Thanks for the help. Only thing I'd like to request is that perhaps you clarify a bit better how to set the points where the flash begins and where it changes, etc. I didn't quite catch all that.

  • oh ok well im maybe moving to fast otherwise just pause and start while im doing the things so u can do it while watching. =) ima try to be alittle bit slower next time =) cause ima make another flash effects video .

  • yeah thats wat IM loooking for

  • You might want to change your title... this is a "Light Rays" tutorial. A "Flash Effect" tutorial would be something like showing how to do the flash transition, which was what I was looking for.

  • If you don't want it at the beginning, you can either split the clip between :40 and :45, so the flash goes in there. Or, you can just click on the beginning keyframe and change everything back to normal. Then, drag the pointer to the place on the timeframe just before you want the effect to start. Drag one of the bars, and it will make a keyframe there. Drag the bar back to normal. Then go to the place where you want to start and do the effect.

  • eh.... i dont have a 'timeline there'

  • Thanks, man. Let me ask you, though, how do you create new keypoints for effects that you want to occur somewhere in the middle of a clip? Like say for instance, I have a one-minute-long video, I want to add the same effect you do in this video, but I only want it to occur between :40 and :45 in the video. How do I do that? Every time I try to create a new keypoint, it always places it at the beginning of the clip, and often the effect will be throughout the entire clip.

  • good job
