  • Are these all morgan horses or are some of them morabs? Most of these horses look very arabian to me. There must be a fair amount of arab blood in the morgan horse.

  • @SR 14225 yes they are all Morgans. Lately I have been seeing quite a few finely built morgans with dished faces, but full Morgans. It is believed that Figure MAY have had some Arab blood in him, but who knows :) Nobody truely knows his bloodline.

  • What a beautiful tribute to the Morgan breed! Makes me so proud to have one in my life (best horse I've ever had!). What music is this? It's gorgeous and fits so well! Excellent vid...brava!

  • Music is "The Mystic's Dream" by Loreena McKennit

  • Most of these historic pics are in Jeanne Mellin's book The Morgan Horse- give credit where credit is due. With that said, its a really nice montage and tribute to the Morgan horse

  • Um, that's not where I found them, a friend had copies of these photos and I burrowed them for her. If Jeanne took these photos, I'm more than willing to give credit to her, my friend did not know the photographer so I could not give credit since I had no name

  • the morgan is of the oldest thoughbred blood and a Arabian type/cross horses. all thanks to DNA testing. sooo some of what you see are non foundation Morgan meaning yes they are mostly morgan but sometime after the 1930s they were bred to some other type horse mostly saddlebreds. meaning small changes in the looks of the horse that were changed for the show ring. foundation morgans are of more baroque look. thick necks, big chest, strong bone. they are extremely adaptable and excel in all sport

  • awesome video. In my opinion morgans are one of the prettiest and best horses. They move so beautifully and have such a great disposition! Love the video :D
