@MyArtSchool Some--but not all--verbs can function as adjectives when they are in the form of the past participle. I'll make some sentences to demonstrate. The first sentence is in the past tense; the second sentence is in the present tense: BREAK -- I broke my computer. / My computer is broken. FIX -- He fixed his car. / His car is fixed. DO -- She did her laundry. / Her laundry is done. GO -- The dog went away. / The dog is gone.

@Shuyanchi -- Say, "Are you done teaching?" The interesting thing about that question is that it could have more than one meaning. You might be asking if I'm finished teaching for the day, or you might be asking if I've decided to leave the profession.
