Blessed with one of the most beautiful voices ever bestowed on anybody he was also blessed with a fantastic songwriting ability as well as a charismatic stage presence. There'll never be another like him.

@MrIrena64 Did you know that Marty was of Polish descent? On one of his appearances on the Johnny Cash show, he is heard to be saying 'Not bad for a little Polak boy!", after singing a song.

I think the word 'genius' when applied to Marty Robbins is in no way hyperbole. When one considers how many of the songs he wrote of widely different styles and the superb way he sang them, what other word would suffice?

Marty had some of the finest vocals the world will know, not to mention his great musicianship, and talent as an entertainer. loved his humor as well.
