I have 156000 miles on mine my granny went at 150000 but it wasn't the transmission. It was the Torque converter cost me 714 to replace and the transmission was in good shape so steeldragon20002002 go get that checked out.

I've loved my bullet proof Vulcan so far. 180,000 miles and everything is original except some suspension and brakes. Car still looks pretty good for a 2001 and runs like a champ for as old as she is. How long have your guy's Duratecs been holding up?

2001 GS Plus with 183k and loving it!! The 155hp vulcan actually has some kick to it too.

That felt like it took forever. Mercury DISable, is more like it.

@jordy19892012 I actually do not have the Sable anymore. It was sold in April 2009 with just under 60,000 miles on it

the Vulcan engine sounds just a bit louder and more aggressive. my 2000 Taurus has 31,300 miles on it.

I would have to agree, the vulcan sounds a bit more muscular, but that doesn't mean it's faster! I've seen your vids, that's pretty impressive for a 9 year old car

Those Duratec's really fly. Great sound too. How many miles? Gota Duratec in my 2000 Taurus SEL, 118K miles.
