My birthday is in 2 weeks. At first, all I could think about was getting a 3ds and it being so awesome, but as I started to think about all the memories I had playing Pokemon on the Ds lite, I decided that I'd much rather be able to play that and relive those nostalgic memories than the 3ds. Plus, it's a lot cheaper and I'd much rather be playing Super Mario Bros for GBA than Super Mario 3d land for 3ds anyday!
