It's one thing to enjoy the XSi's advanced automatic shooting modes, but in order to take control of your camera, you've got to start shooting manually, with either shutter or aperture priority, or both in fully manual mode - from the Magic Lantern DVD Guide to the Canon XSi

    many thnks

  • Get the MLG Canon 450D guide! It has everything you need to get started with your new camera!

  • Hey, can anyone of you help me? when i bought my nikon d60 i realised there were some scratches when i looked through the viewfinder, and it appears that the scractches are from the focusing lens inside the cameras body right above the mirror. does normal warranty cover it? or must i just get a new focusing lens? i just got my nikon d60 today :(

  • The warranty will totally cover it IF it is in fact the focusing lens and not your fault. Almost all cameras in that class come with a year warranty standard - but that's not protection against accidental breakage. Take it back to your camera shop or send it back to wherever you got it from. (PS- your message counts as spam because you sent it 4 times)

  • THINK THIS GUYS DONE!

  • Hello,

I'm trying to learn how to photograph products like shoes and clothing. I use a white background and 4 lamps. The setting that I have been using is "manual". However the pictures I take come out really dark, so the only way I'm able to get a decent photo is by decreasing shutter speed which leaves me sometimes with blurry photos. What setting would be best if working with lights and white background?

    Thank you!
