  • The drummer is just too goddamned loud - he should take some 'ludes and stay off that high hat.

  • probably my crummy camera that makes it sound that way. anyway wurster isn't on the high hat at all--he's on the ride cymbal the whole song, just like grant hart.

  • The weird thing is Bob actually sounds better as a "singer" with more depth and range than he did 30 years ago. Which is to say although it's his song, he will never reach the sing/scream brilliance of his Husker period (especially with this song), as far as sheer emotional impact, but he still writes damn fine tunes, and puts on a great show.

  • @altroval you are waaaay off the mark. Jon Wurster is one of the best drummers Bob's ever used (and he's used some amazing drummers). I am a Grant Hart guy all the way, but Grant's strength was definitely songwriting more than drumming (and really, before you go yapping about drumming, maybe you should spend a moment or two learning the parts of the drum kit).

  • @altroval - that's a sound man issue. And a lo fi camera issue. Not the drummer. Looks like he's kick as much A as Grant Hart in the good old days. Du you rememba?
