  • You should have ended the video with Thewlis's last appearance in KoH: his severed head lying in a pile of heads from the battle of Hattin!

  • Maybe I should...But I found this scene impossible to put into my video because it makes me too sad.

  • Yes, I totally agree. There's something so irresistible about this character. I just have no idea how Thewlis built his part so amazingly, but such a bravest and wisest fighter really fascinates me.

  • why is there music why didnt u just include all the scenes he was in and allow him to talk... this is pointless and ruins the awesomeness of the scenes

  • Hospitaler and King Baldwin were the most fascinating characters is this movie, very wise men at peace with themselves but the way they died was heartbreaking...

  • He was God incarneted, 'cause in the directors' cut he disappears in the desert after speaking with Bloom and then he resurrects him after he's been killed

  • I wish they showed more of the Hospitaller fighting. That kill he did in the forest in the beginning was so badass, when he climbed on the horse and hid behind it and then swung his sword and absolutely took out the archer

  • @ioana4n I absolutely agree with you

  • Looks cool. I love the music.

  • My favorite Character to, it is awesome to see how David Thewlis also helps heal the soul of Balian through kind counsel. A great dipiction of a priest fulfilling his vocation.

  • @IneptTroopr: I would submit that it's not necessary. When we last see him, he knows that he's going off to die; by the time of Hattin, Hospitallers had gained such a reputation for prowess in battle that even if they surrendered, they were put to death, being too dangerous for Saladin's army to allow ransom for. The character knows the coming battle cannot be won, but he must go regardless, so he knows his death waits for him. Seeing his head simply confirms his fate for the audience.

  • yeah my fave too

  • I love this character from the movie. I also love Tiberias (Jeremy Irons)

  • all deaths are certain

  • Hospitaller had to be more of a tough guy than a wise guy...In reality they were very feared and brutal force, arguably more than Templars. They made characters and military orders too stereotypical in this movie..
