Loveless Act III:
My friend, do you fly away now? --Hei making the Contract.
To a world that abhors you and I? --Going to the LifeStream, which hates the living.
All that awaits you is a somber morrow -- No welcome, no peace in going.
No matter where the winds may blow -- No matter what happens when he is there.
My friend, your desire -- Hei's desire
Is the bringer of life, the gift of the goddess --Is the gift of mortality, to die with the dead.
Even if the morrow is barren of promises -- Even if he cannot die.
Nothing shall forestall my return -- Nothing will stop him from finding her.

Background Story:

Hei and Aerith (known as Amber, in the video) were lovers. Due to circumstances not yet explained, Aerith died. Hei is unable to die, due to his past (tied into the show). He makes a deal with a demon...angel...call it what you will, and makes a Contract. Servitude, and in exchange he can see his lost love. All the while, the balance between light and dark has become a thin line, wavering. The price of his contract? To become a hitman for the owner of his contract. Murder...After his first kill, to prove his worth, he is allowed his one, and only chance, to see her.

Story:

Hei arrives to the Life Stream in the form of a child, because he is undying, but in the eyes of the immortal, still so young. He wanders for a while, and finally Minerva (the Contract Owner) appears before Hei. Hei fails to hold back his tears, horrified by his recent actions, and states that he did as they agreed. So, where is she? Minerva tells him to turn around, and the sound of her voice shocks him back into a form Aerith/Amber would find easier to recognize.

Aerith/Amber appears, at first, cold. She states that he is an idoit, to make such a deal. She knows Hei can't handle the emotional/spiritual burden of being an assassin, so why pay a price so steep, just to see her? Because of the promise he made while she lay dying in his arms? She thought he was just trying to appease her. She was afraid of death, and needed him to say something, anything, at the time that would make it bareable.

But he was serious. And there he stood before her, all pure innocence stained by blood, just so he could see her--once. Unable to hold up her mask of indifference, she begins to ramble on about his stupid decision until finally he steals away her protests with a kiss.

She backs away, still upset about his decision, but also caught up by the need to cherish his presense while she can. "I told you we'd see each other again."

"But this is the last time, isn't it?" Both a question of his Contract, and a hope that he will not murder again. He doesn't answer. Minerva's statue glistens with the power sealed by their contract, and she appears to guide Hei, and Aerith/Amber, back to their respective destinations. "I will return." He tells her. She shakes her head, unwilling to think about how this contract will change him, and disappears. Minerva then takes Hei back to Gaia, so that he can serve her for the rest of his existence.

"We will meet again, I promise," he vows, "Not all is lost."

I wanted to make this in fullscreen, but no matter how many different formats I tried, it always ended up deleting the subtitles, so...yea. So the format is kinda weird...Anyways, this was made in two or three days. That is a freaking record for me because normally my computer works like a relic. Because it was a relic. But not anymore. After two years of an extended promise of "Don't worry, we'll get you that laptop we promised you," my family finally saw (they had to use my comp when we were on vacation, and couldn't believe how slow it ran...or how loud...or how it randomly would shut off...or--) how crappy my old comp was, and got me a shiny new one, that moves at the speed of freaking light in comparison. So I've been enjoying working with vegas with having to wait 10 minutes to sift through clips, or having to wait a day to render a video. Rendering this video multiple times to see which format was right took less time than it would take my old comp to do it once. Thats not in HD, by the way.

Anyways, this is my entry. Oh, and for you japanese speakers out there, please refrain from commenting on your dislike of me blantantly covering the real meaning of the audio with my own. -pokes fingers together- please? Its the way I decided to go about this video, and there isn't anything I can do about it. I like how it ended up.

Wow this was really interesting. o.o I'd never seen this anime before, but it seemed to fit with your story and with aerith and the goddess and the loveless acts -squeels- :D :D I was so surprised when you uploaded this, cause i hadn't been sure you would enter :D and this was so awesome! Wow this really impressive you combined this seamlessly. But I have a question the part where they kiss, which I've seen in other vids, is that from a video-game cut scene 'cause if it is do you mind telling me where to find it?
