@APPLEPHANATICS from what company do you have your ram that you have upgraded. Some say that it has to be from crucial or it won't work? Is that true? I nned to know so i wouldnt buy the wrong one.

when i went to the Apple store and asked how much RAM my MacBook will hold, they said it could only hold 4GB.... they also said i could upgrade to 8GB but it would only use 4GB of the 8GB. Can my macbook really run the full 8GB of ram or am i actually wasting my money.

could you give me the link to the 8 gig ram you got plz. great video

Eh I get a few more fps but you have to consider that I came from 2gbs of 1066 ram lol, biggest diff is now I can run multiple apps!

how come apple says it can only go up to 4GBs?

@jonnyboywasheretoday because apple wants you to think your machine is inferior to the mbp 2010 but it is not same almost everything you should be able to run 8gb fine.

I have been going back and forth over whether to install 4GB or 8GB. A big part of me does not want to go against Apple's official stated maximum of 4GB of RAM for the White Unibody MacBook. But if I'm upgrading the RAM I would rather go max than just do a halfway upgrade. Thoughts?

@therichandthepoor go all the way... no sense in not and if you have to take back the computer to the apple store for whatever reason just replace the ram with the stock or whatever your running now
