This is "Distant land" by Donald Byrd. This track was previously unreleased and comes from the "Black Byrd" recording session in the 70's. Just like the rest of the LP, this was produced by the great Mizell Bros. Luckily this was finally released a couple of years ago, when Madlib sampled this track for his "Shades of blue" project. This is up for promotional purposes only.Enjoy.

Amazing composition and beautifully played. Byrd and the Mizell Bros always reminds me of summer in London; a glass of wine and a beautiful lady on my arm. I'll be playing this to friends and family this summer 2012 and every summer; for as long as my liver holds out!
