How do they turn and land so suddenly from the south end of the runway?
This was the northern approach. I've always been amazed how they can just turn 180 degrees right before landing, as happens at this airport frequently.
Fukuoka city is located in northern Kyushu.Kyushu is Japan's third largest island located southwest of the main island Honshu.Hey thanks for that! I've flown in to this airport about a dozen times and live in Fukuoka. Ever land at this aiport at night? I love the illuminated runway.

Not smoke..be worried if it was! The wing flap causes low pressure, water vapour condenses and is visible. Happens frequently in humid air.
