I went to a tv studio once to get her autograph. Figured it would be my only chance, Ever. From that experience and watching this footage - I think that's just how she looks when she has to sign stuff for dealers. I think I was the only genuine fan waiting for her that morning. She looked like she was signing things out of pure duty, no enjoyment. Her & I did have a pretty moment tho, which will be seared into my mind for the rest of my life.

These people aren't her FANS. They're autograph hounds. Notice that they don't greet her or express appreciation for her work (as a fan would do). They don't show any interest in her as a fellow human being. This "exchange" is so far from being a genuine human interaction, that it's beyond even "just business"; if it were business, there'd be something in it for both parties but there's nothing in it for Lucy. They treat her like an object. What is there in that experience to make her smile?

It's a shame they treat her that way.

Lucy is a warm expressive human being with feelings, yet these people are hehaving so clinical and cold towards her.

I just feel like crying now...Don't you see that she is annoyed...She doesnt even smile ,leave her alone,djee...I love Lucy verry verry much,but i never would be like these people,if i see that she is annoyed i leave her alone,she is just a person like everyone of us.Why is it so hard to understand that.

omg she just doesn't look happy at all. but I think (like trenkintandem said) they dont treat her like her fans, they treat her like an object. When I meet her, Ill be sure to make her smile and tell her how wonderful she is. And Ill also tell her how much of a positive infulence she is on her fans and the rest of the world. And I'll say all of it without hesitation or doubt. :)

Well you got to think. If people were asking for your autograph everywhere you went and a majority of those people are going to make money off of you by selling these pictures I'd probably be a little meh about it too. But it is nice that she does sign some.
