This acrylic cube contains diesel particulate matter. The texture is very similar to copier or printer toner. It's an extremely light, fine-textured powder. Notice how long it lingers in the air inside the cube after it stops shaking.

When shaken vigorously, the soot reaches nearly 100% opacity (blocking all visible light).
