If America doesn't raise it's debt ceiling, it defaults August 2nd.
If America does raise it's debt ceiling, it defaults at some later date and the consequences are even worse.
But of course, the fucking politicians won't do anything about anything until it's some major hot topic which they can win votes by solving. By which point it's already too late.
