Always thought Perfect Crime was a vastly inferior reworking of this little gem. Still have my Kerrang! flexidisc of this somewhere - must be, what, over 20 years old now? Good to finally hear the whole thing in full. Deffo should have been on The Real Thing album, or at least used as a b-side instead of all those endless live recordings they put on the Real Thing singles from Epic onwards. A real gem, sorely neglected.

It's hard for me to understand how much they were able to change the lyrics in this song xd from love-life light subject to some hilarious death stories xd and for some reason I don't like the chorus in this version.

I didn't know there was a longer version of Sweet Emotion either. I like it very much. IMO it's as good as The Perfect Crime which it has eventually become. THANKS SO MUCH kangiwiyaka!!!

That's how I felt when I finally heard the full version too. It's an even better song than what was hinted at in the chopped off version.
