  • This was a great movie with a great actor he won the Oscar for it.The other re make was a poor copy.

  • Heavens to Murgatroid! What a great trailer! A true cinema classic...almost as good as the Robert Penn Warren novel it's based on. Absolutely the best role Broderick Crawdord ever had...along with his best performance. His bodyguard (Sugar Boy) was played by veteran character actor William Burke and it's the best role he ever had. THANKS for posting! CHEERS !!!

  • KKR

  • broderick crawfords alma mater was dean college in franklin ma. the school honored him with a big celebration and tribute (actually they were looking for a donation), broderick showed up, got drunk, and proceeded to browbeat the staff and old alum friends. he embarassed himself and the powers that be and never did make a donation...

  • tprince 23 you have your head up your -------

  • This movie didn't seem to really utilize that Louisiana feel like the remake did, it seemed more like a citizen kane, not my favorite. I did like the remake a lot though

  • U are so right AUFNAMEN

  • aufnamen i could not have said it better

  • He WAS one of the GREATS

  • Why the fuck did they re-make this film with asshole sean Penn who couldn't even shine the great Broderick Crawford's shoes. The re-make was the biggest turkey & most unwatchable film ever made.
