Japanese does not believe in existence of God basically.
But it seems that most Japanese believe in God only during fNew Year holidays.
And Japanese who believe in God go to a jinja or shrine.
jinja is considered to be the place where God is.
Therefore aJapanese make a wish in jinja.

I do not understand whether there is divine favor in it.
I think that a Japanese has a unique culture.
