He fell to the floor, followed by Nick and the knife left his hand. His head had smacked the concrete of the basement floor hard. He was blinded for only moments before his brain caught up with his enviorment.
He saw Joe up above him as he straddled his waist. The bloody, abused knife held over Joe's head with both of his hands.
The smile gone, his eyes widened. "No, wait.." His hands had only raised an inch before Joe drove the blade so smoothly into Henry's chest. Peircing the heart he didn't even have the right to possess in the first place. His chest rose as he sucked in air, trying to right himself. To fix what had just happened. He couldn't but his brain couldn't register that. He began choking on the blood that was filling his throat. Joe twisted the knife before withdrawing it and diving back in. Again and again. Copying Henry's earlier moves with skill. Again and Again and again.
Henry was dead. His eyes had closed. His blood made a dark puddle on the floor around his body. Joe kept stabbing until his arms became numb. He left the knife lodged in the dead man's chest as his body was overtaken with sobs. He had never cried so hard. His entire body shook. He couldn't see. He crawled over to Nick. His body was empty yet still warm.
He grabbed him, pulling him up into his lap. He began to rub Nick's cheek, patting it softly. "Baby wake up." He cried. Rocking back and forth. Giving Nick time to listen to his directions. Of course nothing happened. Even Joe knew nothing would. But his mouth betrayed him, as did his body. "Its time to wake up!" He was shaking Nick violently now. Both of their bodies slamming together. "Nick! Wake the fuck up!" He stopped suddenly. Looking at Nick. Really looking. His heart would have broken. But he didn't have a heart. At least not with him. Nick had his heart... And Nick was gone. Gone.
"Oh Nick." He sighed. His crying had stopped abruptly. He set him down on the cold floor carefully. So carefully. Steady as a surgeon he pulled the knife from Henry's chest. Then crawled back to Nick, hastily. He hated being seperated from his Nicky, even for two seconds. He looked up and locked eyes with Nick's parents. They both stared at him. Eyes wide and sparkling with new tears of recognition. They were both shaking their heads furiously.
It was as if Joe was bipolar because he began to shake again. He leaned down and placed a unsteady kiss on Nick's forehead which was obscured by his floppy curls. He rubbed his cheek softly. "I'm coming." He whispered and he heard Nick's dad groan. Joe looked back up at them.
He brought the knife out in front of him. The blade pointing back at his chest. "Tell my family that I love them." His voice was a shaky mess but he smiled slightly. "And that I'm gay." Then his smile disappeared and the tears came back, slow and steadily rising. "And tell them--tell them that I loved your son very...very much."
It took another hour for Nick's parents to get themselves untied and they fell to the floor, sobbing. Basking in the sight of four dead bodies lying on their basement floor.

@xxRandomlyHerexx Haha, you love it too, right? It's my favorite song right now. I've had it playing on repeat on my ipod for about three days now. Hans Zimmer - Time

Quite a depressing end...but it's a bit refreshing as well. I wonder if it makes me a bad person for liking the macabre ambiance. Though (I'm almost certain) everybody was expecting a happier conclusion, it was an interesting end nonetheless. I can't wait to see what you come up with next.
