On December 1, 2012, as trade negotiators from the 11 member countries of the Trans-Pacific Partnership met in Auckland for a 15th round of TPP talks, trade justice activists from the United States, Canada and Mexico met at the Peace Arch Park on the Washington State-British Columbia border to spark a North America-wide resistance to expanding NAFTA into the Pacific Rim. The organizers of the event are inviting all interested community, environmental, labour, student, Indigenous, social justice, fair trade and other organizations to endorse the unity statement at http://tppxborder.org.
