Yeah, books are always better than the movies they make. Specialy this one, whose author is Gabriel Garcia Marques. He is one of the best Latin authors...his books are amazing.

it's ok.
I just seen the movie on TV.
Have never seen it and I liked it very much.

oh I didn't mean to sound bad,I was just happy that finally they made a movie in Colombia after 50 years. And I know is a mix actors and the extras from different countries.
-
half of the cast is Brazilian...what's wrong with it being made here?
-
If it was in Spanish, it would not have audience. can't you see that?
Countries that use the English language, don't accept subtitles.

Could have been better with a better cast and in spanish... Their english really suks and i especially HATE JOHN LEGUIZAMO (noob actor). Other than tat the movie is good coz of the story.

The movie was good I wish it was in spanish. The soundtrack was great, the three songs the Shakira wrote very beautiful and romantic. And I'm very happy that the movie wasn't make in Mexico or Brazil.

yeh i totally agree the movie had beautiful cinametography and scenes, the acting was rubish the special old age effects were really poor!! the characters chosen did not fit the characters the audience are lead to believe in the book!
The story is beautifu though and thats what is most important and kept me watching!
Rule#1,Never make a movie from a good Novel, Rule#2, Never make a movie from a good NOVEL, Rule#3, NEVER make a movie from a Good NOVEL and NEVER, EVER MAKE A MOVIE FROM A great NOVEL, Ever! It NEVER, EVER, EVER is as good!
