Hello on this Monday, the 30 day of July 2007. I'm Kristin Volk with a UPI Headline Update.

British Prime Minister Gordon Brown and U.S. President Bush are meeting today to talk about Iraq, Darfur and global trade. The Prime Minister arrived at Camp David yesterday, beginning the visit with a golf cart ride. This is the first official sit-down for the two of them, although they've met before. After leaving Bush, Brown is expected to meet with leaders on Capitol Hill.

Violence in Iraq has dampened the country's weekend soccer celebrations. Six people were killed today and nearly 30 wounded when a car bomb blew up in central Baghdad. This comes one day after the country's national team won the Asian Cup in Jakarta, Indonesia. Many said the team's victory represented a sign of unity among Iraqis.

A new poll out says Americans favor surveillance cameras in public places. Seventy-one percent say they support the use of the cameras to fight crime. Twenty-five percent oppose it. An extensive surveillance network in London has been credited with helping to capture suspects, including those charged in attempted car bombings in June. But, civil liberties critics say the devices invade privacy and could be used to track innocent people.

One million dollars bail has been set for the suspect charged with causing last week's deadly helicopter crash in Phoenix, Arizona. Christopher Jones allegedly led police on a chase after a report of a stolen vehicle. Two news helicopters were following the scene when they collided. All four people in the air died. Jones told a judge that he didn't know how it all happened.

That's all for now. For more news and updates, go to upi.com. Thanks for watching!
