I suggest reading the book The Primal Wound. Adoptive Parents would not want their worth to be measured by what posessions we have, so we shouldn't measure a First Parent's worth by what they could or couldn't provide either. Children need love and many women who surrendered their babies had loads of love--they just didn't have the money at the time and no one to help them. I went from one great family to another great family. Not every adoptee was "redeemed" from something.

If you are not an adoptive parent, you have no clue, not even a hint. Adoptive parents will smile a small smile and agree:
Blood, a family does not make
Nor the candles on a birthday cake
Only love from the heart
Causes a family to start

why are there so many haters of adoption. I don't get it. It is the best blessing to any baby. Even if the mother is being "selfish" she is giving the best blessing that could be given.

I have always known I was adopted. I can specifically remember this one time I was really little, like 3 years old. My mom brought me onto her bed and it was just me and her. And she told me she loved me more than anything and that God brought me to her and that even though she didn't "have me," she was glad to have me now.... She has always said that there was a reason God intervened in my life before I was even born. I'm really glad my parents never tried to hide it from me or my sister.
