@Daijaskillern Wow to think back how that was in the 90s, just look at every veteran anchor who 50 or 60 being displace by young and cheaper talent. It just crazy....

@usa02 Do you know why Wilma Smith left WEWS-TV5 for WJW FOX 8? Was it due to money?
a: wilma at the time of her dismissal which was the end of 1993 her contract wasnt renewed. She was i believe 42 at the time (1977-1993) this happened. women is this business just arent allowed to age like men.

Wilma Smith is now at WJW FOX-8 and Roy Weissinger retired in 1998.
