The Canadian rock orchestra Lighthouse, with its reunion lineup, performs its tour de force "Lonely Places/Lonely Hours" in St. Catharines, Canada in 2004. The band features original members Skip Prokop (drums), Paul Hoffert (keyboards), Ralph Cole (guitar) and Russ Little (trombone). Dan Clancy has taken over lead vocal duties from the late Bob McBride.

  • For anyone interested, Lighthouse is tighter than ever. Their sound today is better than it has ever been. They just played Cornwall Friday night for Lift-Off festival. You've just got to check them out the very first chance you get!!!!!!!

  • @daryle1ca Indeed, the band is very impressive these days.

  • here's a little something for all you Lighthouse fans ... Lighthouse is giving a mini Ontario tour starting on March 1/08. Go to Dan's web site for tour dates and locations.

  • I can't find the dates ... can you give a link to the page? The only dates I see are from 2007.

  • If this was filmed at Montebello Park I was there.I knew Skip Prokop back in the mid-60s from the Toronto scene in the Village.I have a pic I took of him back then. He was playing at Boris'.Doubt if he'd remember me but thought it would be cool to show him the pic. I'm sure he would've gotten a kick out of it.Fond memories of the TO music scene in back then.

  • This was indeed at Montebello. I'd love to see that pic you're talking about, as would a lot of Lighthouse fans, I'm sure!

  • WOW....

  • @daryle1ca : I am in total agreement with your post since I saw & met them (3rd time since 1972). Very tight indeed and Dan is a highly passionate performer!! I got to catch up with Steve Kennedy (saxophone/flute) who plays to the top right side of Skip..I knew him from some years ago

  • We just saw them in Belleville Ont on Friday the 18th of Feb..Awesome Band and Awesome Music...They put on a Hell of a Show...

  • many members of lighthouse were way more integral than given credit for......based on old stories.......skip really had difficulty sharing the spotlight, and many power struggles insued. Anyway. cheers to the late keith jollimore (sax/flute/vocals/big part of the bands arrangement), and cheers to bringing lighthouse back. They were great.

  • I would have killed to be in Carnegie Hall that night! LL is still one of my favourite albums. I did see Lighthouse a number of times around Ontario, Canada. And sadly...I got to know Bob MacBride a few years before he died. He sang One Fine Morning once for me in his living room...just him and acoustic guitar. Audience was his wife Janice and me. He had a great talent.

  • Hi Dan. Its Adam Arsenaults dad Ray in Australia. You still sound great. Thanks for everything you did for Adam. I`m so proud of him. Kep on rockin mate!!
