  • Are you really asking if Dilla got his drums from ATCQ? Cause if you are, then you would be nothing short of a fucking moron.

  • its not cheating man. hes not showing you the work that goes into it, hes just showing you the fun part. Sampling is the roots of hip hop, it was built by people who "cheated". Sampling is not as easy as you think, it can be a real pain in the ass actually. yes sometimes the stars align and your chops ect work out perfectly with little effort but in the same token a non sampled beat sometimes comes together even easier.

  • @newketo That genre of Brazilian music is called Bossa Nova.

  • How do you get the drum samples so clean without extra sound?

  • very nice!

  • yeah i know i did sum research on youtube and found out how many beats are just sampled and i know how easy and hard it is to sample cuz i produce check out the beats on my page i got two sampled ones aswell says in the title of video

  • And sometimes sampling can be much more difficult if your trying to add keys or instruments to existing sample melodies or chops. Sampling has been around since the 50's or 60's when people manipulated tape recorders. In fact the beatles used that method on yellow submarine, I am the walrus and probably others
