This video is packed with mini demonstrations that will teach you a wide variety of watercolor painting techniques. Showing now on artistsnetwork.tv, follow along with Cindys friendly instruction to paint skin tones with graded washes, fur with gouache and texture strokes, crystal clear eyes with drybrushing, folds in fabric with feathering and glazing, wet in wet techniques for distant grass, and more. Then pull all these techniques together to paint a little boy and his dog from start to finish, adding depth and dimension to make your paintings sparkle and come to life on the page. In this preview from Painting Watercolors that Sparkle with Life with Cindy Agan, watch how simple additions of a highlight here and a shadow there will give these eyes dimension and inner spirit!

  • WUOOOOO I LOVE IT. YOU CAN TELL ME WHAT BRAND AND NUM IS THE FINE BRUSH FOR THE EYES. THANKS

  • i dont get this. back to sketching.

  • wow, you are here cindy agan. I've been teaching my self watercolor with your book....but i should have got an easier one...love you, master........

  • @ritter89 It may be because as you where a kid you didnt have much access to paints.

  • Amazing!! What a talent!

  • @skkiittllezz lol, me too. I've been drawing since I was a kid and can draw almost anything in any style, including architectural renderings. However, I can't paint worth a damn. I'm not sure if I lack patience or skill because I always seem to get frustrated before I finish. I think the key to watercolor is allowing each layer to dry before beginning the next (again, requires patience I don't seem to have)

  • i love drawing but i hate painting i always seem to eff it up especially watercolor because it blends with the other colors to make a very interesting blacky brown color

  • i really like drawings and paintings

  • very educational...

  • fantastic :)
