Madame Marie Knight passed Sunday, August 30, 2009 in NYC after a bout with pneumonia. She was a legendary singer, collaborating with the incomparable Sister Rosetta Tharpe and having a career singing gospel that spanned over 60 years.

  • I am shure they are in heaven now. They really worked on it! I hope they will be there when I go.

  • I loved this song. I bought a record of Rosetta singing it while I was a student in London in the early 1950s. I lent the record to a friend and never saw or heard it again, until now. I still love the song, and its sentiments.
