o sensei morihei ueshiba, Aikido last public demonstration, January 1969 at the age of 85. later part of his life teaches the unification of ki in aikido.

prudiei, thou german you explained it well. yes thou not your intentioned to humiliate, punish or hurt but still they felt the hurt, the punishment and humiliation.

yaso, finalkento, ki is life energy flow in harmony. it does not manipulate, control or go backward. :-}

I believe you are mixing up the Japanese "ki" and the Chinese "Qi".

I also didn't say that the "ki" manipulates, controls or "goes backwards".
The human however can manipulate/control Ki (and Qi, not to mention Reiki). In Aikido it is done by harmonizing with the partner.

Therefore the you build a "friendship" with the partner and he/she can learn what he/she did "wrong".

In fact, the same character is used for Chi or Qi in Qigong
