A clip from Dr. Richard Shannon's keynote presentation at the conference "Improving Patient Safety and Reducing Infections Through Effective Teamwork and Communication."

The conference, held at Bellevue Hospital Center in New York City on October 7, 2010, was hosted by the NYC Health & Hospitals Corporation and The Committee of Interns and Residents/SEIU Healthcare and co-sponsored by DC 37, Doctors Council SEIU and 1199 SEIU.

Dr. Shannon, who presented the keynote "Creating a Culture of Patient Safety... Is it Possible? Is it Sustainable? Is it Worth It?" is the Chair of the Department of Medicine in the University of Pennsylvania Health System.
