one od their best songs. 25 years ahead of its' time. it has got something really mysterious in it, it reminds me a bit of George Orwell's novel '1984'....
sounds like the voice of the future...even now
just perfect

I just wrote about Anni Lennox and how I think she is a tremendous singer, and not comparable to anyone - but I did it from my daughters xxlovedrawingsxx name, not knowing that. Well, that's how it is to be an old woman at 42, not knowing the internet very well.:) Love you, Annie!

Annie Lennox is a tremendous singer that I have loved since the age of thirteen. Her voice, her appearance and her songs have indeed given me a lot. I have no other preferances, she's unike and a gift to humanity. I've not listened to music for several years, and I had almost forgotten all that. Then all of a sudden one of her songs came into my ears, and I recalled it all. I really love this woman for what she's doing.

I concur wholeheartedly with the title of this song!

@ShiveCanber This song wasn't released as a single but in Poland was strongly promoted on the radio in spring of 1984 and reached number 1 for two weeks. It's also one of my favourites - reached number 7 in early summer of 1984.

:)))))))))))))))))))))))))) BELLO !

What I think is so unique about her voice is that she can display such strength but also such fragility. There are a lot of singers now who are talented, but the emotional range? I haven't heard anything like Annie.
This is the song I was listening to when my first published novel, The Fear Principle, was born. The feel of it curls through the whole book, and it's still a really cool song.

Annie Lennox is an alien-sent to help us mortals' see how...how to express themselves, how life can transcend the daily procurement of bread-and how one voice can erode the hard-heartedness of a graceless and cheap existance. How's that for a compliment? I had this tape in college and used to look forward to simultaneously skipping class, riding around outside and feeling that the joy I had from the experience of hearing this music, going by people, and exercising trumped a knowledge of x or y
