THIS IS FRICKING AMAZING!! She is so great! :D

With increasing age Madame Bergman seems to be more able to depict women with a will to power, considering how much she failed to enact the bloody battles and bruising arms of our warlike Maiden Jeanne, some 15 years before this fancy movie; but then again: A good actress cannot do well in an ill play/movie (which is basically the same); and since the plays of Ibsen are boring bourgeois nonsense and are not even sarcastic and charming like the ones of Oscar Wilde.

Richardson is old - but that's the point - the only way he can get a hold on Heda is by blackmail.

with a capital C...

Maybe Ralph is a bit old, (maybe not), but the way he says "trusted friend" steals the scene.
