@brodiger This is not a film soundtrack, but a concert work.

Good comments about the influence of Slavic composers on Ifukube. Actually, he studied with Alexander Tcherepnin, a Russian composer who lived in China and Japan between 1935 and 1937.

The influence of Prokfiev and Shostakovich on Ifukube reminds me of the influence of Russian novelists on Kurasawa's films.

Ifukube was not inspired by the American composer Aaron Copland. He was a penpal, however, of the American pianist George Copeland. Two different people, same last name (albeit spelled differently.)
Ifukube loved Stravinsky. I also hear Prokofiev and Shostakovich in his works. Ifukube's music was certainly very "Slavic" in general.

"Looky what we got here?"
Are you using "we" as the royal pronoun. devilsheep is spot-on correct. Even in his choice of label: I spend my money on Naxos CDs, what I have left I spend on clothing and food.
