They Even Have An Ending With These Two But Test Audiences & Critics Didnt Like It, So They Made Him Reshoot The Ending!!!!

Which In A Way Is Better Cuz It's About Crossing Lines, But Woulda Been Good Both Ways I Think!!!!!!:D

They Did In The Script & Novel, But The Studio & Critics Made Hughes Change The Ending!!!! He was also concerned that audiences would take the original ending as a message that poor people and rich people don't belong together.

John Hughes was unhappy with the ending. He wanted Andie to get together with Duckie. But the film's ending of Andie getting together with Blaine was forced upon him by the studio.

I love this movie, and actually discovered this song a while back, pretty great. I think Andie was right to go with Blane, even though Duckie is a sweetheart, she really wanted Blane, and if she went with Duckie, it probably would have been out of pity
