The Montclairs hailed from East Saint Louis. They took their name from the brand of cigarettes and released their first record in 1969. This was released in 1972 and is the flip of their best known side, Begging is Hard to Do. They were produced by the legendary Oliver Sain. The group released one album, Dreaming Out of Season. As far as I know, group member Phil Perry is still doing it.
