"WORLD BEYOND THE MOON"
This film was restored from a very good, Hi-contrast Kiniscope film. Hours were spent transferring to digital video, at one of the top labs in Hollywood, using a rank cintel scanner. This is the BEST!!! Space Patrol DVD's out today Space Patrol didn't look this good in the 50's!

A thousand years into the future, the Space Patrol, headquartered on the man-made planet Terra, commanded by Buzz Corry, safeguards the peace of the solar system. Aided by his comical sidekick, Cadet Happy, Buzz battles super-criminals
Corry and Happy faced mainly human villains. In the remote future they inhabited, there were human colonies on most of the planets and moons of the solar system, and most planets of other solar systems were inhabited by manlike beings.
SPACE PATROL was by far the best looking of all the live space-travel TV shows, thanks to very elaborate sets, and better-than-average special effects.
CAST:
Commander Buzz Corry --- Ed Kemmer
Cadet Happy --- Lyn Osborn
A mad scientist has an uncanny brain machine that can change men into mindless, super-human slaves!
Suspicious happenings on the third satelIite of the planet Pluto come under the scrutiny of Buzz Corry. Buzz and Happy soon meet with trouble at the hands of Dr. Frederic Kurt, undersize girly operator of a sanitarium for rundown citizens of the universe and his pack of oversize puppets. In fact, Buzz and Happy are startled to find that their fellow officer, Major Robbie Robertson is also under the doctor's influence.Determined to bring the evil Doctor Frederic Kurt to justice because of his practice of converting his patients into giant, robot-like slaves, Buzz and Happy are hampered by the very zombie like creatures they are trying to save. The two Space Patrollers attempt to overcome the zombies without harming them, only to wind up as candidates for a bath in a pool of molten rock.Having reconverted all but one of Doctor Kurt's zombies into the normal humans that they were originally, Commander Buzz Corry and Cadet Happy turn their attentions to the task of corralling the evil scientist. But thanks to his one remaining giant slave, Dr. Kurt is able to escape from Buzz and Happy. The two Space Patrolmen become the hunted, rather than the hunters. Their plight appears hopeless when Kurt and his stooge, Atlas, trap them in a deep canyon that offers no means of escape.
These TV shows were aired in three parts but later combined and re-issued as this complete feature film.

  • Ah, Space Patrol. Probably the cheesiest thing ever committed to film.

  • @somewhere6 Rocketing from planet to planet, missions of daring in the name of interplanetary justice. Follow Buzz Corry, commander in chief of, The Space Patrol!

  • The reason would be that although small, it is unusually dense giving it a high enough gravity. But then we have the problem of getting enough light for photosynthesis.

  • Yes!

The lack of gravity of such a small body would make it unable to hold on to an atmosphere.

  • Ok... ok... So the volcano thing makes sense, but wouldn't the gravity have some kind of effect on the life there? Specifically plants?
