@mvallin Well I personally would rather give political power to almost any country instead of USA. Look what they have done, attacked every damn country with oil or communists for no reason and killed huge amount of civilians.

@myhatsonfire becoming a nuclear power instantly gives a country a huge amount of political power and influence, the US and its alies obviously dont want iran to have this "ace in the hole" so to speak. Additionally, the western world fears that a nuclear Iran could potentially provide fissile material to extremest groups intent on using nuclear weapons against them. You cant retaliate if you're unsure who used the weapon, so your mutually assured destruction argument wouldn't apply in this case

I don't understand your logic, we have thousands of nukes, why would Iran realistically use one against us if any idiot knows that they'd be wiped off the face of the earth 20 times over? If they're smart enough to make them, they're smart enough to know not to mess with us. China, India, Pakistan, NORTH FUCKING KOREA, and Russia aren't exactly our allies either, and the world didn't become a shitty place when they got their nukes. Explain your thought process please, I'd love to know.
