This is one of the best things on YouTube! The recorded sound is absolutely remarkable for 1930.

absolutly superb ! And what sound for 1930 !
-
marvellous find...any chance of the 1st movement?!

Fantasic lady Miss Ney was! This recording shows her talent to the full and if it dates from 1930 is in stunning sound.
van Hoogstraten the conductor on this performance was married to Elly Ney. Later clips on youtube from 1964 shows performances of the Moonlight and Pathetique sonatas by Beethoven in which this lady simply had no equal.

About as good as it gets. Certainly ranks among the very best known performances.
What an astonishing find this lady has turned out to be! So glad she is rising from the undeserved obscurity in which she was, evidently allowed -- or forced? -- to languish for too many years.
A GREAT pianist and a spirited, insightful artist. Just BRILLIANT.
Those who achieve the greatest fame and popularity are not always the best.

This is marvelous thank you for posting
