@tommyk77 yeah on his new album hes just owen pallett

@ler0y182 What an annoying homage to make. Besides, I've read he isn't going by the pseudonym now. So glad
-
@tommyk77 he names himself after the game
-
It's not true that it has no relevance; regardless of how unhelpful it was to have had that as his name (he now identifies himself as Owen Pallett), the name specifically was a dedication to the series 'Final Fantasy', and more generally to video games as well, which he obviously played a lot of.

bingo

Final Fantasy as a video-game franchise began in 1987. Owen Pallett was born in 1979. Did he create Final Fantasy when he was 8?
Besides, it makes no sense. His stage name has no relevance.

Final Fantasy is a project about video games.
Owen Pallet is the one who created the project.

Yeah tell me about it. I'm only ever after one or the other and they are both very different
He's brilliant, but why the hell call himself 'Final Fantasy' when that name is already associated so heavily with a massive video-game franchise, known for it's music much more than Mr Pallett?
He should stick to his real name, or make up an original stage name

the 8 schools of magic are Dungeons & Dragons, nothing to do with the Final Fantasy videogames.
