indians do believe that the new haidakhan baba was just the power but he was not the god. AND NOT MAHAVATAR.when he died the power too went away with him....

Baba appeared in the himalayan town Haida khan or Hariakhan in 1970. He was found in a cave nearby in samadhi. He is called Haidakhan Baba named after the village where he was found.
Many claim and believe that he is Mahavtar Baba spoken of in The Auto-biography of Yogi he himself never publicly claimed or denied this. His message was of peace and he taught till 1984 before leaving his body.
His main teaching or technique was to chant the maha mantra:
