Time Lapse in Levanger, Norway. Shot with canon powershot a570 using the chdk firmware hack. I used a simple 24h timer switch for the pan..
A piece by Erik Røstad.

  • This is one of the best I've seen..Love the panning..Could you please share more about the timer switch?

I am clueless about it :)

  • @rizwanmithawala Thanks for stopping by:) I just placed the 24h timer switch in the window sill and started the script.

  • Loved your Levanger Norway time lapse. Can you share with me the kind of panning device you have and where I may buy one. I know nothing of these devices. Thanks and Happy New Year from Seattle, Washington. COINSMR

  • @rostern thanx for the kind reply :]

1.i guess as manual as u can get=the better! still, i feel like some parameters need to stay Constant throughout the shot..and some shouldnt. for example, Auto-focus should be off\or set to infinity...but exposure? it should maybe be auto? since u might have a sunrise..so it needs to change..right?

2.btw u used a kitchen cooking timer as the panning mechanism? :]

  • @eladbari 1.The parameters doesn't have to be steady, but it sure is an advantage, and will give the best results overall. For this timelapse i set the camera in aperture mode.

    2. I used a Canon power adapter, no batteries.

  • @rostern just Have to ask: 1.does one of the Parameters of the camera [like exposure & such] have to be Steady for time-lapse shots?

2.damn!what battery can survive for so long???

  • @usernamejpt I used a script called unlimited interval shooting. You can find it on the CHDK wikia page under the user-written scripts.

  • nice! thanks for posting.

  • @rostern May I know which script did you use?

  • @usernamejpt thanks for stopping by
