@maribelytony Good luck. I'm sure it will turn out great! Test runs are a really good idea. You don't want to have to figure things out on the fly while you have guests waiting to eat.

Thank you . For the tips I will do 3 test runs and see how it goes. I tried to reply to your post but it won't let me.

@maribelytony Yeah! Just make sure it's no too big. But a small amount of charcoal on two side of the kettle and start out with the bird wrapped in foil, breast down. Flip the bird halfway through the cook and unwrap the foil for the last hour. Try and maintain about 350* in your cooker and just follow normal cooking tables, like you would in an oven. I'd suggest having a good temp probe inserted during the cook.

@707AR15 It's a great investment!
I followed your recipe and everyone loved the turkey. Thank you.

its great to see this video again! this should replay every year like "A Christmas Story." Just dont let the Bumpus' Dogs get at it. lol

@ItsGoodCookin :) I'm doing a turkey on the rotisserie for Thanksgiving this year, a little different than this one. I'm debating on whether or not I should video tape it. It always bugged me that I never had the carving of the bird in this video. It was just very chaotic in our house that Christmas.
Thanks for watching! (A Christmas Story is my all time favorite by the way)

Thanks for the video and the cooking tips. So nice to see when someone takes the time and care to show other people how to use this accessory. It made my decision easier to buy this accessory which I admit I was slightly fretting over.

@christschool You'll love it! I use mine a lot... No need to fret at all. Just make sure you have a good meat thermometer and have fun!
