  • If Bernard hadn't gotten hurt, the Knicks would probably not have fallen so low as to draft Ewing. Maybe they would have been better off, and would have been the team that bridged the gap between Boston and Chicago, instead of Detroit. Surely, that would have spared the more recent Knicks the "leadership" of Isiah Thomas.

  • To add insult to injury (Literally), He lands right on his bad foot. Ouch!!!

  • 0:11 OH SH**, OH GOD!!!

  • @Evenmixer...Maniac by Michael Sembello.

  • Song ?

  • Bernard King and Patrick Ewing were on the floor for one game. It was the 1991 NBA All Star game when Bernard played with Washington and Patrick played in New York. I talk often how I would have loved to see what Patrick and Bernard could have done together as Knicks. Bernard lost two years of the prime of his career. Alot of people forget Bernard RE-INJURED the knee rehabbing it in the fall of 1986.

  • I think King and Ewing didn't play a nba game together, bad :/

  • horrible horrible horrible, if this ddint happen you would hear people talking about bird magic AND King

  • He blew it out planting for the jump, not on the landing.

  • At the 0:11 second mark you can hear Bernard King scream "Oh Shit, Oh God" as he went up to block Reggie Theus shot. This injury was significant for 2 other reasons. First, the Knicks would go on to lose the rest of their games after this and "draft" Patrick Ewing(who everyone thought would be an immediate franchise changer). Secondly, this shows the advances made in surgical procedures...it took B.King almost 2 full years to recover from the torn ACL, now some guys come back in less than a year
