Poems From Guantanamo, read by Vanessa Redgrave

Vanessa, Lynn, Corin, and Jemma Redgrave make a very special appearance to read Poems from Guantanamo: The Detainees Speak, a collection of poems written by detainees held in the US detention center at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. Marc Falkoff, attorney and editor of Poems from Guantanamo, will also be with us. Presented in partnership with the Center for Constitutional Rights.

I love Vanessa Redgrave. I'm so glad she did this. I'm even more thrilled that Obama is closing down Guantanamo.

First you end a sentence with a preposition.Next your arsenal of insults is so limited that you resort, in your last sentence, to the predictable, hackneyed, stereotypical gay slur. Yes. I'm convinced all right. You're an immensely informed former Rhodes Scholar with a monumental grasp of the nature of humankind and the subtlies which make truly bright indiviudals a pleasure to know. Troubling that you believed it when your daddy told you that "real men" are in charge and must show a "backbone" (odd use contextually) when they interact socially. Irony is that you're an invertebrate even by your own standard if what you write is representative. "Thankfully" needs a verb to modify. Also; Avoid adverbs like "thankfully", and "hopefully", since more often than not they should be followed by a comma, then the proposition "I'.

Thankfully as usual you are mistaken. The backbone of the country is made up of adults who don’t just sit in a park, don’t defecate in a park, and don’t use drugs in a park. Did you see the “Burn down Macy’s video”? The backbone you refer to is just a horse’s ass.
