I love Dave Davies. I think he has always been a really wise 'old soul,' and that songs such as this one and 'Susannah's Still Alive' reflect a remarkable maturity and insight into the sadness of life, considering how young he was when he wrote the songs.

I asked many friends (14; ~ 19 - 21 yrs old) and EVERYBODY of them know the beatles and the stones and - no joke - no single one know the kinks, NO SINGLE ONE.. crazy.

Very good quality audio. Thank you for sharing this, but why call it a solo performance when it clearly isn't?

Pretty amazing when the interviewer asks Dave what the next single from the group will be, and he responds "... it could be one of about a 100," without a trace of self-import or sounding like he's bragging. You talk about prolific. Someday the Kinks will really get their due.

This has haunted me for years...and I didn't realise Dave Davies had done it! Better than his brother, if you ask me.

@TheSunshineSuperman when i was kid, in London, with my tranistor radio tucked under my pillow, I listened to radio caroline, my favourite record was Sunshine Superman.

I always thought of Dave as just that ridiculously pretty teenager that played lead guitar for my favorite band...I have so much more respect for him now.
